If you receive BISP Kafalat support and your children go to school, there is extra help waiting for you. BISP Taleemi Wazaif is the education stipend program of the Benazir Income Support Programme. It pays your children a separate quarterly amount just for staying in school.
Many mothers do not know this money exists. In this guide you will learn the exact stipend for each class, the attendance rule you must follow, and how to enroll your child step by step.
What Are BISP Taleemi Wazaif
Taleemi Wazaif means education stipends. The program encourages poor families to keep their children in school instead of sending them to work. The stipend comes every three months along with the regular Kafalat cycle, but it is a separate payment linked to each enrolled child.
Girls receive a higher amount than boys at every level. This is deliberate. It pushes families to educate their daughters, who are more likely to drop out.

How Much Stipend Does Each Child Get
The official quarterly amounts are fixed by BISP:
- Primary classes: boy Rs 1,500, girl Rs 2,000
- Secondary classes: boy Rs 2,500, girl Rs 3,000
- Higher secondary classes: boy Rs 3,500, girl Rs 4,000
There is also a one time Rs 3,000 graduation bonus for girls who complete primary school. This reward celebrates the milestone and motivates the family to continue to the next level.
Who Can Get Taleemi Wazaif
Your child qualifies if all of these are true:
- You are an active BISP Kafalat beneficiary
- The child is admitted in a school or college
- Age is 4 to 12 for primary, 8 to 18 for secondary, 13 to 22 for higher secondary
- The child maintains at least 70 percent attendance every quarter
- The child has a NADRA B Form, also called CRC, and it is verified
Attendance is the key condition. If attendance falls below 70 percent, the stipend stops. If a child fails three times in a row, enrollment is suspended. So keep your child regular in school.
To confirm your own BISP status first, use our 8171 web portal CNIC check guide.
How to Enroll Your Child
Visit your nearest BISP tehsil office or enrollment camp with three things: your own CNIC, the child B Form from NADRA, and the school admission slip. The staff registers the child on the spot. It is free.
After enrollment, check payment status on 8171.bisp.gov.pk, or send your CNIC number by SMS to 8171. The official helpline 0800 26477 answers questions about stipends and attendance issues.

How to Keep Receiving the Stipend Every Quarter
Enrollment is only the first step. The stipend continues only while your child meets the conditions every quarter. The school sends attendance to BISP, so there is no form to fill for renewal. Your job is to keep the child regular and to keep documents valid.
If you change your child school, inform the BISP tehsil office so the record moves with the child. If the B Form expires or has an error, get it corrected from NADRA quickly. A mismatch between the school record and the BISP record can hold up a quarterly payment. A short visit to the tehsil office fixes most such issues before the next payment cycle.
