UHS MBBS Admissions: Last Date October 30, Apply Before 5 PM
One day left. That is the whole story of UHS MBBS admissions this week, and thousands of Punjab students are still finishing their forms. The University of Health Sciences closes its MBBS admission portal on Friday, October 30 at 5 PM, and after that hour there is no second window, no late fee route and no agent who can reopen it for you.
If you cleared MDCAT and your FSc marks are in hand, this guide gives you the merit formula, the minimum marks, the fee challan method and the exact dates of the merit lists, so you can submit a complete application instead of a rushed one.
UHS MBBS Admissions and the October 30 Deadline
The Punjab government notified the MBBS and BDS admission policy on October 14, issued by the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department. Under that policy, the University of Health Sciences in Lahore runs centralised admissions for all public sector medical and dental colleges in Punjab. MBBS applications opened on October 16 and close on October 30. BDS applications follow later, from December 15 to December 30, on a separate portal.
- MBBS portal: publicmbbs.uhs.edu.pk, closing October 30 at 5 PM.
- BDS portal: publicbds.uhs.edu.pk, opening December 15 and closing December 30.
- Colleges covered: 16 public sector medical colleges and 3 public sector dental colleges.
- Processing fee: Rs 2,000, non refundable, paid through a challan at Bank of Punjab or National Bank branches, or through the 1Bill invoice facility.
Students comparing education options in other provinces can also see our Punjab Agriculture reserved seats guide. That notice is separate, and its own deadline is also this week.

Who Can Apply for UHS MBBS Admissions
Three gates decide your eligibility, and all three are printed in the policy. First, MDCAT is mandatory, with a minimum of 55 percent marks for MBBS and 50 percent for BDS, and MDCAT results remain valid for three years. Second, your FSc Pre Medical or equivalent qualification must carry at least 60 percent marks. Third, you must hold a Punjab domicile, except for the specific overseas quota seats. If any one of the three fails, the portal application will not survive scrutiny, so check your numbers before you pay the challan.
The Merit Formula That Decides Your Seat
Your aggregate is built from three pieces, and every student should calculate it before choosing colleges. MDCAT carries 50 percent of the merit. FSc or HSSC carries 40 percent. Matric carries 10 percent. A student with a strong MDCAT can still lose a seat to a student with a slightly weaker MDCAT and much stronger FSc marks, because 40 percent is a large block. Calculate your aggregate honestly, then order your college preferences by where that aggregate realistically lands, not by wish.

How to Apply for UHS MBBS Admissions
Register on the MBBS portal, complete your profile, and select your preferred colleges in order. Upload clear scanned copies of your CNIC or B Form, your domicile, your Matric and FSc certificates and your MDCAT result card, in JPG or PNG format under 500 KB each, as the notice instructs. Generate the Rs 2,000 fee challan, deposit it, and submit the application before October 30 at 5 PM. Do not leave the submission for the final hour, because portal traffic on the last day is the most common reason complete applications fail.
What Happens After You Apply
The provisional order of merit for MBBS is scheduled for November 13, and the final order of merit follows on November 16. The first college wise selection list is expected on November 17, and MBBS classes are scheduled to begin on February 1. For BDS, the merit process runs in January and classes begin on March 1. Keep your portal login and your challan copy safe, because every list and every later movement between colleges runs through the same account.
